I participated in multiple sports, including softball and track and field, but basketball became my passion. That love for the game led me to an incredible opportunity to play NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball.

My brother Darrius excelled in soccer, track and field, and basketball. His exceptional athleticism and height earned him a full scholarship to play NCAA Division II Basketball.

Our oldest brother was a multi-sport athlete whose talent shone brightest in football. His hard work and dedication led him to become a Division I football player.

But the real MVP of our story was our dad. Long before we were born, he was already a storyteller through his lens. In high school, as the basketball team’s tech manager, he recorded games to analyze and preserve moments. Beginning in his twenties , as a lifeguard and youth swimming coach, he continued this passion, ensuring swim meets and races were always captured. Then follow behind his children. making sure his able to be at every game.

His purpose? To teach and to remember.

I can still vividly recall my first organized basketball game. My dad recorded the entire game from start to finish. It became so routine that even my coach noticed and asked for the footage to help our team improve.

I remember sitting at my oldest brother’s football games, with my dad showing me how to press record. You can even hear my little voice in the background, asking questions about the camera. Those moments weren’t just about sports or technology—they were about connection, learning, and creating something lasting.
